the three kinds of energy
All of your actions in life can be explained as serving one of three purposes:
- moving towards - seeking something
- moving away from - offering something
- staying still - being neutral around something
A magnet really is an excellent metaphor for how we humans work, especially when you notice what happens when you put a couple of magnets together. When you are seeking something, for example joy, food, or a spaceship, you are automatically attracted to others who have extra joy, food, or spaceships. And when you, yourself, have more than enough joy, food, or spaceships, you tend to offer them to others. And when you're feeling just right, you tend to lounge around comfortably with a peaceful look on your face.
you can use your energy wisely
As you begin to realize that your actions always have one of these three kinds of energy - push, pull, or idle - you will start making more appropriate decisions about what you want, where you want to go, and who you want to interact with.
